Glenfiddich 18 is distilled using two different types of alembic of different shapes. This difference in the shape of the neck of the still allows to obtain two different expressions of new make which are assembled to obtain the characteristic taste of Glenfiddich. the New Make is lowered to 63.5% ABV using water from the Robbie Dhu spring and transferred to American oak and ex sherry barrels. Glenfiddich 18 ages for a minimum of 18 years and is bottled after a very strict selection of the best barrels by malt master Brian Kinsman.
