Habitation Velier Monte Negro represents Grogue to the nth degree!
The national drink of Cape Verde, Grogue has origins dating back to the mid-15th century, when this pure sugar cane rum was sold exclusively to the British Royal Navy.
Sourced from the Monte Negro distillery, owned by the Barbosa Amado & Vicente family since the mid-1960s, this version is made exclusively from red sugar cane and distilled in a 350-liter copper still. Rich and complex, its aroma and flavor profile presents nuanced and refreshing notes that enhance its intensely fruity, spicy and medicinal character.
