The Armagnac Le Frêche 2007 was made from Baco grapes and was bottled at a cask strength of 57%, cask number 45 after maturation for 13 years in a dry cellar, for a total production of 150 bottles.
The nose is greeted by vapors of cotton candy and seductive hints of dried fruit such as plums and raspberries. The delicate bouquet is balanced by a composition of earthy hazelnuts and dark chocolate.
The first sip surprises with an incredible richness and explodes in an initial onset of chocolate, raisins, tropical fruits and the binding sweetness suggested by the bouquet. Finally, the oily texture and heavy body lead the palate into an everlasting and satisfying finish of cocoa and dried mango.
