La Chartreuse V.E.P. (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) is made according to the procedures and the same formula as the classic Chartreuse but undergoes an extremely prolonged extra aging of the two liqueurs, aged for more than 10 years in French oak barrels. The alcohol used for the infusion of the Verde is neutral beet alcohol. The quantity available each year is very limited, for this reason a serial number is indicated in each bottle.
