Chartreuse "Reine des Liqueurs" is an extremely limited-edition release.
The blend consists of a strictly secret mixture, guarded by the Carthusian monks in the cellars of the Grande Chartreuse monastery, located in the Chartreuse foothills in Voiron, in the Isère department of southern France.
In the 19th century, it was served at every royal table in Europe. It was particularly favored by Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, and has been considered “The Queen of Liqueurs” ever since.
A very fresh, minty herbal flavor with notes of anise, gentian, and génépi. Moderately sweet.
