Aldunie 25 Y.O is a Scotch Whisky that takes us on a journey of discovery in Speyside. Just behind the famous Balvenie in Dufftown, a still room was built 30 years ago to cope with the growing demand for whisky. This ghost distillery, which has bottled its single malt only once in its history, is called Kininvie and relies on Balvenie for malting, fermentation and aging, placing its signature on the distillation process. The guys at Whiskyfacile have found a very rare cask - there are less than 10 single casks bottled by independents - and they didn't let it slip away. The name Aldunie indicates what is formally a blended malt, thanks to the addition of a teaspoon of Belvenie. Aged in a single ex-Bourbon cask, Aldunie 25 years offers a masterly example of freshness and elegance. Notes of yellow fruit, custard, honey sweets alternate, arm in arm with chamomile flowers and a pinch of cinnamon.
