Nikka From The Barrel is a category-changing whiskey: for this whiskey, Nikka's chief blender assembles distillates at the two historic distilleries of Yoichi and Miyagikyo, including a portion of whiskey distilled in the coffey column still. Ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks of different sizes and passages are used for aging. It is a whisky that is striking in its finesse and complexity. The name echoes the bottle's high alcohol content, which is 51.4 percent. Approximately 100 different Nikka whiskies are used for this blended.
