Corteaura
Corteaura was born in 2009 in Adro, in the north-west of Franciacorta.
Federico Fossati, who grew up in Veneto, wanted to make a dream come true: producing a quality wine in a suitable area. For this reason he traveled throughout Italy, finally identifying his ideal territory in Franciacorta. And right in Adro, already famous in the 13th century for the cultivation of vines, he transformed an ancient rural building into a cellar, respecting the territory and the vineyards that surround it and began to weave the canvas of his vineyards.
The meeting with Pierangelo Bonomi, with a long experience in Franciacorta and a profound knowledge of high quality sparkling wine production, made it possible to fully realize the project which continues today, after years of innovation and research.
Corteaura has always dedicated its attention to the precision with which every single step is carried out.
From pruning, carried out with the Guyot system, to the choice of vineyards, to the pressing and fermentation phase; from the choice of steel tanks to the creation of the internal laboratory; from the fermentation temperature to the selection of the best moments of the year for each individual activity. Every phase of production and every phase of the selection of machinery and collaborators is taken care of in detail, carried out with calm and precision.
Corteaura is committed to showing great attention and respect for the environment. In our sector, in agriculture, the land is what allows us to produce, the raw material without which nothing could be done. The choice of packaging, attention to the use of non-harmful substances, and saving raw materials where possible, are an essential priority.
