This 12-year-old Saint James is part of the second edition of the now legendary Magnum series, born in 2021 from an idea by Luca Gargano, with the aim of bringing together the great masters of rum with the great photographers of the Magnum agency.
This aged agricultural rhum was distilled in a Creole column and produced from a blend of the 2003 and 2010 vintages. The entire production process takes place at the distillery using artisanal methods, so as to fall within the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée of Martinique . Founded in 1765, Saint James is the largest and oldest distillery in Martinique.
On the nose it is rich and full-bodied, with hints of sugar and honey that evolve into gentian, chocolate and vegetal aromas. The palate is creamy and delicate, rich in medicinal notes, spices and infused herbs, with nuances of cocoa and candied ginger. The finish is soft and persistent, very evocative of sugar cane, with an aftertaste of almond and jam.
