Royal Brackla, one of Speyside's less celebrated distilleries albeit official suppliers to the British Royal Household!

Max Righi this time selected an ex-Sherry Oloroso cask from 2007, bottled at a grade of 59.3%.

A single cask at once elegant and complex, dominated by almond, grape and fine spice notes. Delicate and balanced, its herbaceous flavor comes from its meticulous production process that reaches its apogee in the 72-hour fermentation period, the longest industrial fermentation process.
It is distilled in higher-than-normal stills; after maturing in bourbon barrels, it is aged for 24 months in sherry casks, which give it its sweet and fruity side that melt in the mouth.
