Hampden New Beginnings is a special edition specially created to celebrate the marriage of Christelle Harris and Matthew Hann on 3 June 2023. It is a blend, conceived in collaboration with Luca Gargano, of OWH 2014 and H 2017, which echoes the unique style of Hampden Estate rums, a historic Jamaican distillery active since 1753.Here a unique rum is produced, characterised by spring water, prolonged fermentation with wild yeasts, distillation in copper double retort pot stills, tropical ageing in ex-bourbon barrels and no added sugar or additives. Located in the province of Trelawny, in the grand cru of Jamaican rum, and managed since 2009 by the Hussey family, Hampden Estate is known for having the best land parcels in the country, with one of the highest yields per hectare.
