The Clos de L'Oratoire des Papes Rouge is the pure expression of excellence of the French Rhône Valley.
As in the style of this type of wine, the grapes that make up the blend are different. They range from 80% Grenache to 8% Syrah, with 7% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault. After being destemmed, the grapes are fermented in steel and the wine obtained is left to refine in oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
To the eye it appears in its deep ruby red hue. The scent is played on the fruity imprint of raspberry and blackberry, in the nuanced wake of an intriguing spicy texture. In the mouth, it is striking for its freshness and velvety tannin, supported by a good body and lasting persistence with a long hint of spices.
Excellent if accompanied by a rib of beef.
