Syrah by Curatolo Arini is smooth on the palate and pleasantly balanced. In its simplicity it is a great example of this Syrah craze, a modern and captivating wine from every point of view. Syrah grapes come from hillside vineyards in the interior of the province of Trapani.
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September. They are de-stemmed and fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration on the skins for 12 days. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. Then 60% of the wine ages in steel vats while 40% ages for 6 months in barrique.
