It was the summer of 2006 when the Gargano Fartels were in Marie Galante to start their Rhum Rhum adventure. Given the need to learn more about rhum aging in the tropical zone, they decided to purchase 6,000 liters of Rhum Agricole Bielle 2003 that they were aging in ex-bourbon barrels.
They followed its evolution, the perte des anges and the esterification process, until 2012, when they bottled the last remaining 20 barrels
Reserve Velier is part of the wealth of experience the Gargano family has built up in Marie Galante, part of their journey into the world of rum.
