Theater of this distillate is the little known island of Jura, in Scotland, where there are more deer than people and nature still reigns unchallenged and wild. There is only one town, Craighouse and it is there that, since 1810, the distillery has been producing its Single Malts which are characterized by their soft character, light peaking and sweet spiciness. The 12 Years Old version ages well 12 years earlier in American ex-bourbon oak barrels, which give it strength and strength and, for a short period, in European oak ex-sherry Oloroso barrels, to acquire softness and roundness. : 'jura' in Gaelic means 'deer', to underline the nature of this distillate and the land from which it comes.

Bright amber yellow color, the nose welcomes us with sweet and gentle notes of wildflower honey, sultanas and milk chocolate, followed by darker shades of tobacco, spices and leather. Complex and powerful tasting, it shows a woody part of smoke in the attack, and then leaves room for gentler tones of sweet spices and barley candy. Warm and creamy, it accompanies a rather persistent finish of menthol and dehydrated apple.
