When William Reid received the license for the Springbank Distillery in 1828, Campbeltown was one of the major commercial centers in Scotland, thanks to the port which guaranteed continuous trade with the United States. In Springbank, maximum respect for traditional production methods is pursued: just think that this is the only distillery in all of Scotland where the entire production process takes place on site, starting from malting the barley up to bottling and to bottle labelling, and each stage has its own impact on the unique style of the whisky. Springbank has collected countless international awards, among which the "distillery of the year" award stands out for the Italian panorama, awarded at the tenth edition of the Milan Whiskey Festival in 2016 by virtue of the strongly artisanal character of its production.
