Distilled in April 1997 at the Montebello distillery, this Basseterre rum is composed of a blend of agricultural rhums and traditional rums. Aging for 9 years (until 2006) in a tropical climate is followed by a period of refinement in barrels for a further 2 years. Gold coloured, intense and bright to the eye. The nose is particularly elegant and complex, characterized by hints of sweet spices, cardamom, anise, dried bananas, oak and chestnut honey. The taste is round and smooth, consistent with the olfactory and characterized by a long and never cloying finish.
