From double-roasted barrels to a liquid inspired by a rare rose, the range Stories tells the stories behind The Balvenie's whiskeys. Through these tales, this range offers a glimpse into the life of the distillery, presenting the Whiskey Makers who work there.
The Week of Peat was born out of Ian Millar's desire to experience The Balvenie's profile using what he had learned from a recent trip to Islay. He ordered a batch of Speyside peat so that, for one week a year, The Balvenie distils a batch of peaty malt, resulting in a whiskey rich in honey, vanilla and citrus notes with an extra layer of subtle smokiness.
Drinking a peaty Balvenie is a rarity and therefore it is recommended to taste it in purity to fully appreciate how the Balvenie style adapts to a gentle peat.
