The whisky produced in Craigellachie, in Speyside, is unmistakable for its full character and great body. The secret of so much personality lies in the use of Worm Tubs, condensers now almost abandoned by most distilleries, which reduce the contact between the distillate and copper and preserve the heavier components. The distillate is so intense and fragrant, and the Craigellachie 14 bottled by Whiskyfacile is no exception. The fruity component developed in 14 years of contact with an ex-Bourbon cask is beautifully fused with damp cellar notes, toasted dried fruit and buckwheat cake. A Craigellachie squared.
