Serdiana, just behind Cagliari and its gulf, is an ancient and particular land where the vineyards grow by sinking their roots between sand and stones, caressed by the sea breezes and the scent of myrtle and wild rosemary. Here Argiolas has been producing high quality wines for almost a century, since the founder, Antonio Argiolas, began to plant the first of that series of vineyards, which gave life to one of the most famous and prestigious wineries in Sardinia. A family business that, in its third generation, never ceases to amaze us with its wines, all aimed at enhancing the typical grapes of these lands. The Vermentino di Sardegna Costamolino, once uncorked, with its fragrant fruity aromas immediately makes us think of summer and lunches by the sea under a pergola; a fresh and clean wine, which brings joy and goes well with fish dishes or first courses with vegetables.
Light and bright straw color, it smells of jasmine, white peach and lime, aromatic herbs, salty and iodized hints. On the palate it immediately reveals a good balance between light caloric vein and nice acidity, it is delicately savory and with a discreet citrus finish.
Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with a seafood salad, spaghetti with clams and a mixed grill of fish and shellfish.
