Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Ciliegiolo.
Agapanthus derives from Agapanthus, a flower of the Liliaceae family native to South Africa. Its origin is Greek and derives from "agape", meaning love, and "anthos", flower. Specifically, Agapanto by Podere Conca is a Bolgheri DOC, which comes from the processing of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Ciliegiolo. The grapes, having reached perfect ripeness, are harvested by hand, destemmed, pressed and fermented with the skins in steel tanks for approximately 20 days. At the end of the transformation, the wine then matures for approximately 12 months in wooden barrels, and in particular tonneaux and second passage French oak barriques.
At sight it has a beautiful intense and lively red color. On the nose it expresses prevalent notes of red fruits.
On the palate it reveals a beautiful harmony and persistence despite being young and exuberant. A wine of great pleasure and character, this Tuscan red goes well with cured meats, cheeses and not too tasty red meats. Its softness and good natural balance, however, make it suitable for any meal.
